Holding

The Court held that no cause of action remains once the subject application has been decided, and therefore the writ petition must be dismissed.

Summary

Proplay Professionals Pvt Ltd filed a writ petition before the Bombay High Court seeking a direction to the concerned authority to decide its pending application/representation. The Government Pleader placed on record a decision dated 13 June 2026, which had already resolved the petitioner's application and was communicated to the petitioner. The petitioner’s counsel acknowledged that, in view of this decision, the writ petition was no longer being pressed. The Court observed that since the matter had been finally decided, no cause of action survived the petition. Consequently, the Court disposed of the writ petition, while leaving open the possibility for the petitioner to initiate fresh proceedings if aggrieved by the earlier decision.
