Bombay High Court

PRASHANT PANDHARINATH KHANDAGALEversusTHE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA AND ANOTHER

Disposal
DISPOSED OFF

Holding

All the writ petitions stand disposed off and the interim relief is vacated, subject to a six‑week extension.

Summary

The Bombay High Court, Aurangabad Bench, dealt with several writ petitions filed by doctors against the State of Maharashtra. One petition (WP No.2933 of 2019) was withdrawn on the petitioner's request and consequently dismissed. The remaining petitions (WP Nos.11919 of 2021, 3056 of 2019, 3057 of 2019) were taken on board and the court held that they were covered by its earlier judgment in Writ Petition No.6549 of 2026. Accordingly, all these petitions were disposed of and any interim relief previously granted was vacated, although a short extension of six weeks of interim relief was permitted. The order reflects procedural disposal rather than substantive adjudication on the merits.

Issues considered

  • Whether the writ petitions should be withdrawn or dismissed.
