DIGVIJAY BHASKAR LAWANDversusTHE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA THROUGH SECRETARY
- Disposal
- DISPOSED OFF
Holding
The petition is disposed with liberty granted to the petitioner to approach the State Level Grievance Redressal Committee within two weeks.
Summary
The petitioner, Digvijay Bhaskar Lawand, challenged an order dated 12 November 2025 issued by the Divisional Deputy Director of Education, Latur. He claimed the order adversely affected him and sought relief through a writ petition. The State of Maharashtra responded, citing a Government Resolution dated 31 July 2026 that established a State Level Grievance Redressal Committee for such challenges. The High Court examined whether the petitioner could approach this newly constituted committee. The Court held that the petitioner is entitled to file an appeal before the Committee within two weeks and that the petition would be disposed of pending that appeal. Consequently, the writ petition was dismissed, granting the petitioner liberty to approach the Committee for an expeditious decision.
