The Court directed the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai to decide the petitioner’s complaints within six weeks and disposed of the writ petition.
Summary
The Panchsheel Gokuldham Co-operative Housing Society Ltd filed a writ petition before the Bombay High Court seeking expeditious adjudication of several complaints and representations it had submitted to the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai on 29 May 2024, 27 May 2025, 5 March 2026 and 8 April 2026. The petitioner confined its reliefs to directing the corporation to decide those specific grievances without seeking any substantive order on the merits of the disputes. The Court, after hearing counsel, declined to issue notice to the respondents or to keep the petition pending for a full hearing. Instead, it directed the Municipal Corporation (Respondent No. 1) and the second respondent to decide the listed complaints within six weeks, after affording a hearing to all stakeholders. The writ petition was thereafter disposed of without any further order.
