The Court directed the Education Officer to decide the pending appointment proposal within three weeks.

Summary

The petitioners, a charitable educational trust, filed a writ petition seeking a direction to the Education Officer (Secondary) of Zilla Parishad, Solapur, to decide a proposal dated 24 April 2025 concerning the appointment of the petitioner's third member as a peon. The petitioners alleged that despite the proposal being submitted, no decision had been taken by the officer. The Court noted that the grievance was limited to the pending administrative decision and that it was appropriate to issue a directive to the authority. Consequently, the Court ordered the Education Officer to decide the proposal expeditiously, and in any event within three weeks from the date of the order. The writ petition was thereafter disposed of in accordance with this direction.
