The Court allowed the petition and granted permission to travel abroad subject to an undertaking.

Summary

Ashish Suresh Agrawal filed a criminal writ petition seeking permission to travel abroad to Spain, transiting through Dubai, for official work from 4 to 9 October 2026. The respondent State of Maharashtra, through its Additional Public Prosecutor, objected to the petition. The Court, after hearing submissions from counsel for both parties, considered the urgency and the nature of the request. It held that the petitioner could be allowed to travel abroad subject to conditions. Accordingly, the petition was allowed, the petitioner was permitted to travel, and was directed to submit an undertaking before the Magistrate Court. The writ petition was then disposed.
