Holding

The petition stands disposed of as infructuous.

Summary

The petitioners filed a writ petition in the Bombay High Court, but no representative appeared before the court. The respondent's counsel informed the court that the petitioners had been acquitted in Criminal Case No. 1606 of 2022, and submitted the judgment as evidence. Upon reviewing the acquittal order dated 24 July 2024, the court found that the petition no longer had any operative relief to grant. Consequently, the court held the petition to be infructuous. The petition was therefore disposed of without further hearing.
