Holding

The High Court disposed of the writ petition, directing the MAT to hear and dispose of the applications expeditiously.

Summary

The petitioners, Rohidas Sheshrao Jadhao and others, filed a writ petition seeking an order for the expeditious disposal of two original applications pending before the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal (MAT). The petitioners argued that the MAT had not scheduled a timely hearing, causing undue delay. The respondent State, represented by the Additional Government Pleader, informed the Court that the applications were fixed for hearing on 10 June 2026 and that no further order was necessary. The Court noted the scheduled hearing date and the absence of any request for adjournment by the State. Consequently, the Court disposed of the writ petition, directing the MAT to conduct the hearing and dispose of the applications as swiftly as possible.
