Bombay High Court

KISHOR S/O NARAYAN DAWALEversusTHE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA AND OTHERS

Disposal
DISPOSED OFF

Holding

The petition stands disposed as there is nothing left to adjudicate after the case was committed to the Sessions Court.

Summary

The petitioner, Kishor, filed a criminal writ petition seeking a direction to transfer the investigation of Crime No.24/2023 registered at Sonai Police Station, Tq. Newasa, Dist. Ahmednagar. He also referred to a related RCC No.417/2025. The respondent State contended that the case has already been committed to the Sessions Court, with Sessions Case No.60/2025 pending. The Court observed that, since the matter is now before the Sessions Court, there is no remaining issue for the writ petition. Accordingly, the Court held that the petition stands disposed as nothing survives, and the petition was dismissed.
