Summary

Ajit Narayan Deshmukh filed a criminal writ petition in the Bombay High Court seeking issuance of a passport, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for a ten‑year passport, and permission to travel abroad. The petition was filed under criminal appellate jurisdiction before a single judge, Justice Ashwin D. Bobe. On 20 August 2026, the petitioner’s counsel, Mr. Ganesh M. Khatkale, applied for leave to withdraw the petition, a request that was not opposed by the respondent’s counsel. The court, after noting the applicant’s request, granted leave to withdraw the petition. Consequently, the writ petition was disposed of as withdrawn.
