Disposal
DISPOSED OFF

Holding

The petitioners must first approach the Grievance Redressal Committee for relief, and the writ petition is disposed.

Summary

The petitioners, Mirza Athar Baig and others, filed a writ petition challenging an order passed by the Deputy Director of Education, Latur Division. They sought relief from the High Court, alleging that the order adversely affected them. The respondents, the State of Maharashtra, argued that the grievance should be addressed by the Grievance Redressal Committee established under a Government Resolution dated 27‑03‑2024. The Court held that the petitioners must first approach the Committee, headed by the Divisional Chairman of the Maharashtra State Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, for redress. The Court disposed of the writ petition, granting the petitioners liberty to approach the Committee and directing that any delay in filing a condonation application be considered by the Committee.
