The petition is disposed of as infructuous.

Summary

The State of Maharashtra filed Criminal Writ Petition No.6697 of 2024 before the Bombay High Court, Circuit Bench, Kolhapur. During the pendency of the petition, the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) in Satara delivered a judgment on 3-12-2015 in RCC No. 541/2025 acquitting the petitioner. The petitioner’s counsel submitted a certified copy of that acquittal order to the Court. Relying on this development, the petitioner argued that the writ petition had become infructuous. The Court accepted the submission and the accompanying copy of the lower court’s order. Consequently, the High Court disposed of the writ petition as infructuous.
