The High Court ordered the District Judge to hear the application expeditiously, preferably within two months from 12 October 2026.

Summary

The petitioners filed a writ petition seeking an order directing the District Judge to hear Civil MA/131/2023 expeditiously, preferably within two months from the next scheduled date of 12 October 2026. The Court noted that the petition raised a limited prayer and refrained from examining the merits of the underlying assertions. It directed the District Judge to consider the application for condonation of delay and to schedule a hearing as soon as possible, ideally within the stipulated two‑month period. No substantive discussion on the correctness of the petitioners' claims was undertaken. Consequently, the writ petition was disposed.
