M/S. MAHALSA SERVICES THR. ITS PROPRIETOR MR. PRADEEP SHETversusDEAN OF GOA MEDICAL COLLEGE

Disposal
Disposed of

Holding

The petition was dismissed as infructuous because the tender had been withdrawn and a re‑tender was proposed.

Summary

M/s. Mahalsa Services, through its proprietor, filed a writ petition challenging the withdrawal of e‑tender No. GMC/PS/U‑X/Sweeping & Swabbing/2023‑24/40/11987 for housekeeping services at Goa Medical College. The Dean of the college issued a communication on 27‑Nov‑2025 stating that the tender had been withdrawn and a re‑tender would be initiated. The Court held that this development rendered the petition infructuous, as there was no longer any operative order to contest. Consequently, the petition was disposed of, and no further proceedings remained pending in the MCA. The decision was pronounced by Justices Valmiki Menezes and Amit S. Jamsandekar on 4‑Mar‑2026.
