Summary

The petitioner, Ravindra Dinkar Bansode, filed a criminal writ petition seeking a direction to the State of Maharashtra to hear and decide his Externment Appeal No.109 of 2026, which challenges an order dated 20 April 2026. The Court examined whether the respondent court should be compelled to adjudicate the pending appeal promptly. Noting that the impugned order was recent, the Court held that the petition merits relief.
