- DISPOSED OFF
Holding
The petition was dismissed as the matter was settled and no cause of action remained.
Summary
The petitioner, Rahul Prabhakar Bagul, filed a criminal writ petition seeking a direction to the State of Maharashtra and other respondents to register a crime against respondents 5 to 13 based on a complaint lodged on 09.02.2022 at Azad Nagar Police Station, Dhule. The petitioner’s counsel, Adv. Netra M. Bhise, also requested an adjournment citing the non‑availability of Advocate Mr. N.L. Choudhari. The Court, however, learned from the Resource Personnel’s report that the parties had amicably settled the dispute, a settlement confirmed by an order dated 15.04.2023 (PWDVA No.75 of 2021). Since the settlement extinguished the cause of action, the Court held that there was nothing left to adjudicate. Consequently, the petition was disposed of without any further directions.
