- DISPOSED OFF
Holding
The Court directed the respondents to examine the reimbursement claim on its merits and, if justified, to disburse the amount within stipulated time‑frames.
Summary
The Dhanvantari Education Society filed a writ petition seeking reimbursement of fees for the 25% of students admitted under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009. The petition was filed against the Union of India and several state authorities. The Court noted that the matter fell within the scope of a prior order (Narwade, 18‑04‑2026) issued in Writ Petition No. 4127/2026. Accordingly, the Court directed the respondents to independently scrutinise the Society’s reimbursement claim on its merits and to decide within four weeks of receiving the order. If the Society is found entitled, the reimbursement must be paid within a further four weeks. The petition was therefore disposed with these directions.
