Disposal
DISPOSED OFF

Holding

The petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to independently assess the reimbursement proposal and act within the stipulated time frames.

Summary

The petitioners, a group of educational societies, filed a writ petition seeking reimbursement of fees paid for students admitted under the Right to Education Act. The Court noted that the matter was already addressed in its earlier decision in Writ Petition No. 6307 of 2026, which covered the same issue. Accordingly, the Court disposed of the present petition, directing the respondents to independently scrutinise the petitioners' reimbursement proposal on its merits. The respondents were ordered to make a decision within four weeks of receiving the Court’s copy and, if eligibility is confirmed, to disburse the reimbursement within an additional four weeks. The judgment thus reaffirmed the procedural direction given in the earlier case without further substantive analysis.
