The Court directed the Education Officer to decide the petitioner's case within four weeks of receipt of the order.
Summary
Sarita Hiralal Patil filed a writ petition against the State of Maharashtra seeking relief after the Education Officer failed to act on a direction from the Divisional Grievance Redressal Committee (DGRC). The DGRC had set aside the officer’s earlier order on 23 June 2025 and instructed him to reconsider the matter in accordance with a Government Resolution within 15 days. Despite this, the officer did not take any decision. The High Court, after hearing the petition, directed the Education Officer to render a decision on the petitioner’s case within four weeks of receiving a copy of the order. The petition was therefore disposed of with the said direction.
