Summary

The petitioner, Nazil @ Naazil Rashid Saiyad, filed a regular bail application after the filing of the chargesheet in criminal miscellaneous application No.11224 of 2026. The Court, after hearing arguments, expressed an inclination not to grant bail. The petitioner’s counsel then sought and was granted permission to withdraw the bail application. The Court disposed of the application as withdrawn without examining the merits. It directed the trial court to expedite the trial, noting that the petitioner is an under‑trial prisoner, and allowed the petitioner to file a fresh bail application if the trial does not progress substantially within a reasonable period.
