Holding

The court held that the police must be directed to decide and dispose of the protection application within four weeks, and the application is disposed.

Summary

The petitioners, who married on 1 May 2025, faced threats from the family of petitioner No.1 and applied to the Sehara Taluka Police Station on 4 December 2025 for police protection. The High Court observed the police inaction and directed the concerned police station to decide and dispose of the protection application as expeditiously as possible, preferably within four weeks of the order. The Court further ordered that the application stands disposed, thereby concluding the proceedings.
