Holding

The application for regular bail was dismissed.

Summary

Manjay Kumar was arrested in connection with a case registered under Sections 126(2), 115(2), 118(1), 109, 352, 351(2), 3 and 3(5) of the B.N.S., 2023, alleging that he repeatedly struck the victim with a knife causing grievous injury. The petitioner applied for regular bail, claiming innocence and citing his custody since 08‑09‑2025 and a single prior criminal antecedent. The State opposed the bail, emphasizing the seriousness of the allegations. The Court, after considering the facts and the direct allegation of a knife attack, dismissed the bail application, noting that the petitioner could re‑apply if the trial is delayed by the prosecution. The judgment was limited to a prima facie observation and does not prejudice the merits of the trial.
