Holding
The court dismissed the petitioner's application for regular bail, finding the offence gravely serious.
Summary
The petitioner, Md. Latif Ansari, father of a deceased daughter, was charged under Sections 103, 238 and 3(5) of the B.N.S. 2023 for allegedly killing and disposing of his child's body. He applied for regular bail, claiming innocence and a clean antecedent, while having been in custody since 14‑02‑2025. The State opposed the bail, and the court examined the material evidence indicating that the parents were responsible for the death. Considering the seriousness of the alleged homicide, the court found the gravity of the offence warranted continued detention. Consequently, the application for regular bail was dismissed.
