Holding

The petition is dismissed as infructuous because the underlying complaint case has already been disposed of.

Summary

The petitioner filed a petition under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code seeking to quash an order dated 03-08-2017 passed by the Sessions Judge, Rohtas, which dismissed a criminal revision against a judgment of the Judicial Magistrate dated 21-04-2017. The petition argued that the underlying complaint case (No. 66 of 2013) had already been disposed of on 22-02-2020, rendering the petition infructuous. The State had no objection to the petitioner's request for disposal. The Court examined the record and accepted that the complaint had been concluded, making further proceedings unnecessary. Consequently, the Court disposed of the petition as infructuous.
