The anticipatory bail order was modified to extend the time for surrender and furnishing the bail bond by four weeks.

Summary

The petitioner, Bhauli Raut, had been granted anticipatory bail by the Patna High Court on 22‑12‑2025 in Criminal Miscellaneous No. 88385 of 2025, subject to surrendering before the lower court and furnishing a bail bond with sureties. The petitioner applied for a modification of that order, seeking an extension of the time allowed for surrender and for furnishing the bail bond. The Court considered the reasons set out in the petition and found them sufficient to justify a further extension. Accordingly, the Court modified the original anticipatory bail order, extending the surrender period by four weeks from the date of the order. The modification petition was allowed, and the amended order stands as modified.
