The Court allowed an extension of two weeks for the petitioner to furnish bail bonds, thereby modifying the earlier anticipatory bail order.

Summary

The petitioners, Kalpana Devi and relatives, were granted anticipatory bail on 15 November 2025 in Criminal Miscellaneous No. 69626 of 2025. They were required to furnish bail bonds within a stipulated period but were unable to do so due to unavoidable circumstances. The petitioners filed an application seeking an extension of time to furnish the bail bonds. The learned counsel for the State opposed the request. The Court, after hearing both sides, ordered that the time for furnishing the bail bonds be extended by two weeks from the receipt of the order. Consequently, the earlier anticipatory bail order was modified to incorporate this extension.
