The petition for pre‑arrest bail is dismissed.

Summary

Ashok Singh petitioned for pre‑arrest bail after a complaint (Case No. 632(C) of 2024) was lodged alleging that he and other accused sold a brick kiln to an informant for Rs 8,11,000, subsequently barred the informant from operating it and refused to return the money. The prosecution charged the petitioner under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including offences relating to cheating, criminal breach of trust, extortion and fraud. The petitioner feared arrest and sought bail. The Court examined the nature and seriousness of the allegations, noting the multiplicity of serious offences. Considering the gravity of the accusations, the Court rejected the petition for pre‑arrest bail, ordering that the petitioner remain in custody pending trial.
