Decided
Disposal
BAIL GRANTED

Holding

The Court granted regular bail to the petitioner subject to monetary and attendance conditions.

Summary

The petitioner, Bablu Kumar, was arrested in connection with the recovery of 460 litres of illicit liquor and charged under Section 30(a) of the Excise Act and Sections 111(3), 111(4) and 317(2) of the B.N.S. He claimed innocence, asserted that he had been falsely implicated, and noted that he had seven prior criminal antecedents while being in custody since 15‑02‑2026. He offered to donate Rs.25,000 to a charitable organization and pledged cooperation with the trial. The State opposed his regular bail application. The Court, after considering the facts, allowed the bail, directing the petitioner to furnish a bail bond of Rs.10,000 with two sureties, deposit Rs.25,000 with the Ramakrishna Mission, and appear at the police station every Sunday, failing which the bail would be cancelled.
