BAIL REJECTED

Holding

Anticipatory bail is refused.

Summary

Bajrangi Yadav sought anticipatory bail fearing arrest for alleged offences under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act. The prosecution alleged that he, in collusion with other accused, abducted and assaulted an informant over a monetary dispute, intended to dump him in a forest, and a liquor bottle was recovered during the investigation. The petitioner also has a prior criminal antecedent. The court examined the seriousness of the accusations, the material recovered, and the antecedent. Considering these factors, the court refused the prayer for anticipatory bail, thereby dismissing the petition.
