The bail application was dismissed.
Summary
The petitioner, Chandan Kumar, applied for pre‑arrest bail in a case registered under multiple sections of the Bihar Penal Code and the Arms Act. The offences alleged include serious crimes such as murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping, and illegal possession of arms. The petitioner was represented by Advocate Surya Narayan Roy, while the State was represented by APP Surendra Prasad Singh. The Court examined the petitioner’s past criminal antecedents and considered the gravity of the charges. Concluding that the petitioner’s history did not merit a liberal approach to bail, the Court refused to grant bail. Consequently, the bail application was dismissed.

- Whether pre‑arrest bail should be granted to the petitioner despite serious charges under the BNS and Arms Act.
