Decided

DISMISSED

Holding

Bail was not granted and the application was dismissed.

Summary

The petitioner, Pradeep Kumar @ Maya, was arrested in connection with PS case No. 472 of 2025 for alleged participation in a loot of Rs.1,50,300, a laptop and other articles. Co‑accused Manjeet Kumar and Pradeep Kumar @ Pate gave self‑inculpatory statements that implicated the petitioner. Part of the stolen money – Rs.30,000 from the petitioner and Rs.15,000 from the co‑accused – was recovered. The petitioner, in custody since 20‑Nov‑2025, applied for bail under Section 309(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. After hearing counsel for the petitioner, the State and the informant, the court held that the facts did not justify bail and dismissed the application. The order is confined to the bail question and does not prejudice the merits of the trial.
