Summary

The petitioner, Sadiya Praveen, wife of the deceased Md. Sayed Alam, was arrested in connection with an alleged abetment of her husband's suicide under section 108 of the B.N.S., 2023. She had been in custody since 4 December 2025. She applied for bail, arguing the length of her detention and her status as a woman. The Patna High Court, noting the period of custody and gender considerations, granted bail without commenting on the merits of the case. She was released on a bail bond of Rs.10,000 with two sureties of the same amount.
