Pre‑arrest bail was denied as the murder charge with dowry demand was deemed too serious to merit bail.

Summary

Amod Singh was charged with murdering his wife by strangulation over a dowry demand, under Sections 302 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. He applied for pre‑arrest bail before the Patna High Court. The court examined the seriousness of the allegation, noting that the offence involved a premeditated murder linked to dowry demands.
