Patna High Court

Digamber Yadav @ Digamber KumarversusThe State of Bihar

Decided
Disposal
BAIL REJECTED

Holding

The petition for regular bail was denied as there were no fresh grounds to revisit the Supreme Court's earlier decision.

Summary

The petitioner, Digamber Yadav, was arrested in connection with a violent assault on an informant and his family, resulting in the informant's father's death. He contended that he was falsely implicated and had been in custody since September 2024, while co-accused had been granted bail. The petitioner sought regular bail, but the High Court noted that his earlier bail application had been rejected by the Supreme Court in Special Leave to Appeal (Crl.) No. 14074 of 2025 and that no new grounds were presented. Consequently, the court found no basis to revisit the bail decision. The petition for regular bail was therefore dismissed, and the petitioner remains in custody.

Issues considered

  • Whether the petitioner is entitled to regular bail despite the Supreme Court's earlier rejection of his bail application
  • Whether there are any fresh grounds to reconsider bail for the petitioner
