Summary

The petitioners Krishna Kumar, Meena Devi and Badri Ram were arrested in connection with PS Case No. 324 of 2025 and filed criminal miscellaneous petitions before the Patna High Court seeking bail. They later approached the court to withdraw the petitions and surrender, requesting permission to apply for regular bail before the district court. The learned counsel for the petitioners sought liberty to surrender and obtain bail, while the State opposed the withdrawal. Justice Purnendu Singh considered the submission and directed that the petitioners may surrender and that the district court should entertain their bail applications promptly, based on the material gathered during investigation. Consequently, the High Court disposed of the petitions, ordering the district court to decide the bail applications on merits without delay.
