Holding

The court held that the address error is a correctable clerical mistake and may be rectified, modifying the original anticipatory bail order accordingly.

Summary

The petitioners, Sonu Singh and Bishnu Singh, had been granted anticipatory bail in an order dated 17-04-2026, but the order mistakenly recorded their address as Village Gairatpur, P.S. Manjhi, District Saran. They filed a criminal miscellaneous application seeking correction of the address to Village Nawalpur, P.S. Daudpur, District Saran. The court examined the petition and found the error to be a typographical mistake without substantive impact on the bail order. Accordingly, the court directed that the address be corrected in the original order and granted the petitioners an additional four weeks to surrender before the concerned court. The original anticipatory bail order was modified only to the extent of correcting the address, and the present application was disposed of.
