Holding

The Court confirmed the provisional anticipatory bail granted to the petitioner on the same terms and conditions.

Summary

Petitioner Pramod Kumar Rai feared arrest in a criminal case registered under several sections of the Bihar Narcotic Substances Act, 2023 and the D.P. Act. Both parties agreed that the matter had been referred to mediation, which was successful as per the mediation report dated 24‑03‑2026. The petitioner had earlier been granted provisional anticipatory bail on 04‑06‑2026. The counsel for both sides jointly requested that this provisional bail be confirmed. The Court, after hearing the parties, confirmed the anticipatory bail on the same terms and conditions. Consequently, the petitioner is protected from arrest pending further proceedings.
