The application is dismissed as the matter has become infructuous.

Summary

Petitioner Rajendra Kamal filed a criminal miscellaneous application under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code seeking to quash a Judicial Magistrate's order dated 30-06-2017 that had taken cognizance of offences under Sections 420 and 406 of the Indian Penal Code. The petitioner argued that the case had become infructuous and should be disposed of. The State of Bihar raised no objection to the petitioner's prayer. The High Court, after hearing both sides, held that the application could be dismissed as the proceedings were indeed infructuous. Consequently, the court disposed of the criminal miscellaneous application.
