Summary
The petitioner, Md. Mozaffar, filed a petition in the Patna High Court seeking to quash a maintenance order dated 26‑02‑2018 passed by the Principal Judge of the Family Court, Begusarai, which required him to pay Rs.2,000 per month to the second opposite party. He stated that he no longer wishes to pursue the matter and requested that the case be disposed of. The State of Bihar, represented by an Additional Public Prosecutor, raised no objection to the petitioner's request. The court, after hearing both counsels, noted that the parties were not pressing the matter. Consequently, the court disposed of the petition as not pressed, effectively leaving the maintenance order in force but without further proceedings. The order was pronounced by Justice Sunil Dutta Mishra on 18‑03‑2026.
