Summary

The petitioner, Uday Yadav, filed an anticipatory bail petition fearing arrest in a case involving multiple offences under the Bhartiya Nayay Sanhita, 2023. He later sought permission to withdraw the anticipatory bail application and to surrender before the trial court for regular bail. The learned counsel for the petitioner requested liberty to surrender within a stipulated period. The Hon'ble Justice Prabhat Kumar Singh granted the request, allowing the withdrawal of the anticipatory bail petition. Consequently, the anticipatory bail petition was dismissed as withdrawn, with liberty to surrender within eight weeks, and the trial court was directed to consider a regular bail application thereafter.
