The court extended the surrender period by four weeks, subject to a Rs.2000 deposit, thereby modifying the earlier order.

Summary

The petitioner, Md. Irfan Ali, was directed to surrender in connection with PS Case No.06 of 2025 pending before the CJM, Aurangabad. An order dated 15-10-2025 fixed a specific surrender period. The petitioner filed an application seeking modification of that order to extend the surrender period. The High Court, after hearing counsel and considering the grounds and the interest of justice, extended the surrender period by four weeks from the date of the order, subject to a deposit of Rs.2000 in the Patna High Court Advocate Association. The court accordingly modified the earlier order and disposed of the modification application.
