The Court held that the bail order may be modified to grant the petitioner an additional four weeks to surrender.
Summary
The petitioner, Krishna Kumar, was granted bail on 13-10-2025 with a condition to surrender to the concerned court within six weeks. He was unable to comply due to unavoidable circumstances and applied for a modification of the bail order to obtain an additional four weeks to surrender. The State of Bihar, represented by the A.P.P., raised no objection to the requested extension. The Court, after hearing both sides, found that granting further time was appropriate given the petitioner's circumstances. Consequently, the bail order was modified to allow the petitioner an extra four weeks from the date of the order to surrender before the concerned court.
