Decided
Disposal
BAIL GRANTED

Holding

Bail was granted to the petitioner.

Summary

Ramjee Sao, accused of multiple offences under the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita for allegedly assaulting Sujal Kumar with a knife, sought bail. The incident arose from a family dispute over ancestral property, with the petitioner claiming the informant's side were aggressors and noting the absence of an injury report. The State and the informant opposed bail, alleging threats and assaults when they approached the property. The court noted that the co‑accused had already been granted bail and that the charge‑sheet showed no tampering. Considering these circumstances, the court ordered the petitioner’s release on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000 with two sureties.
