Holding

The application under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is disposed of as infructuous.

Summary

The petitioners filed a criminal miscellaneous application under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code seeking to quash the order dated 03-06-2016 that framed charges under Sections 498(A), 494, 341, 323/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act against them. They argued that the case had become infructuous and should be disposed of. The State of Bihar, represented by an Additional Public Prosecutor, raised no objection to the petitioners' prayer. After hearing both sides, the Court held that the application could be disposed of on the ground of infructuity. Consequently, the application was dismissed as infructuous, with no further orders.
