Holding
The petition is disposed of as not pressed, with the court granting the petitioner’s request for withdrawal.
Summary
The petitioner, Jeevan Singh, filed a petition under criminal miscellaneous proceedings seeking to quash an order dated 06‑08‑2018 passed by the Sub‑Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Saran, in Mahila Police Station Case No. 10 of 2018. The petitioner later informed the court that he no longer wished to pursue the matter and requested that the case be disposed of. The State of Bihar, represented by an Additional Public Prosecutor, raised no objection to the petitioner’s request. The learned judge considered the petitioner's clear intention to abandon the proceedings and the State’s consent. Consequently, the court disposed of the petition on the ground that it was not pressed. No substantive merits of the original order were examined as the petition was withdrawn by the petitioner.
