Patna High Court

Shona Lal Sah @ Shoneylal ShahversusThe State of Bihar

Decided
Disposal
DISMISSED

Holding

The bail application is dismissed.

Summary

The petitioner, Shona Lal Sah, was arrested in connection with a murder case (P.S. Case No.195 of 2024) and has been in custody since 20‑08‑2024. He sought bail, alleging that he is only a suspect and that there is no material against him. The prosecution alleges that the petitioner killed the deceased and that the murder weapon was recovered at his instance. The informant’s counsel corroborated the recovery of the weapon. The court, after hearing counsel for the petitioner, the State and the informant, found the material sufficient to deny bail. Consequently, the bail application was dismissed, with the court noting that its observations are limited to this application and do not prejudice the trial’s merits.
