Summary
Satish Kumar was arrested in connection with a case under Section 140(2) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, alleged to involve the abduction of the informant's husband. The prosecution contended that Kumar and co‑accused fled when police raided the location. The petitioner claimed innocence, alleging the case was fabricated due to a loan dispute between the informant's husband and a third party, and pointed out that a co‑accused had already been granted bail. The State opposed the bail application. After considering the submissions and the circumstances, the Court ordered the release of the petitioner on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000 with two sureties of equal amount. The order was pronounced by Justice Khatim Reza.
