The Court granted anticipatory bail to the petitioner subject to the conditions prescribed under Section 482(2) of the B.N.S.S. 2023.

Summary

The petitioner, Sikinddra Ram, was implicated in a case (Majorganj P.S. Case No. 159 of 2025) under several sections of the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita for allegedly assaulting an informant and snatching a golden Hanumani. He contended that the allegations were false, he had no prior criminal record, and he was willing to cooperate with the investigation. The State opposed his request for anticipatory bail, while other co-accused had already been granted bail. The Court considered the facts, the petitioner's clean antecedents, and the submissions of counsel, and ordered that the petitioner be released on anticipatory bail upon furnishing a bail bond of Rs.10,000 with two sureties, subject to conditions under Section 482(2) of the B.N.S.S. 2023. The order was pronounced by Justice Sunil Dutta Mishra.
