BAIL REJECTED

Holding

Anticipatory bail was refused.

Summary

The petitioners, Md. Ziaul Mustafa Ansari and Md. Nooruddin Ansari, were accused in a cyber‑crime case (PS Case No. 1797 of 2025) for allegedly hacking an informant’s email and social‑media accounts and disseminating objectionable photographs, offenses alleged under Sections 79, 75(3), 351(2), 352, 319(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Sections 66(c), 66(d), 67 of the Information Technology Act. The petitioners applied for anticipatory bail, claiming innocence, a clean antecedent, and that the allegations were false and motivated. The State opposed the bail, emphasizing the seriousness of the accusations and the material evidence on record. Justice Prabhat Kumar Singh, after hearing counsel, held that the nature of the allegations and the evidence warranted denial of anticipatory bail. Consequently, the petition for anticipatory bail was dismissed.
