Disposal
BAIL REJECTED

Holding

Anticipatory bail was refused.

Summary

The petitioner, Akhilesh Nat, a co‑owner of a house in Sasaram, Rohtas, faced an FIR alleging human trafficking after a raid uncovered minor girls in objectionable conditions with contraceptives. He is charged under multiple provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and the Juvenile Justice Act, and he has two prior criminal convictions. The petitioner applied for anticipatory bail, arguing fear of arrest. The court examined the seriousness of the offences, the presence of minors, and the petitioner’s criminal antecedents. Concluding that the nature of the allegations and the prior record warranted detention, the court refused the anticipatory bail application.
